The Government Media in Gaza: Stopping the entry of aid to Gaza is a new crime practiced by the occupation

The Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the occupation forces continue to close the crossings of the Gaza Strip for the third consecutive day and prevent the entry of food, medical, and other aid.

Gaza – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The office said that the halting of the entry of aid is a new crime that exacerbates the humanitarian catastrophe suffered by 2.4 million people within the Gaza Strip, a decision taken by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu immediately after the completion of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

It confirmed the seriousness of the repercussions of this crime, which represents a contempt for the international community and law and a flagrant violation of international human rights law, which stipulates that water, food, medicine, and shelter are basic rights that can’t be touched.

The office described the occupation’s use of this method as “a means of cheap extortion to achieve political goals at the expense of the suffering of hundreds of thousands of people.”

It added that preventing the entry of medicines and medical supplies is a death sentence for thousands of chronic patients and the wounded due to the lack of health care and a death sentence for the health system that has already collapsed due to the occupation’s deliberate sabotage and destruction over the past 15 months.

The office pointed out that “preventing the entry of temporary shelter supplies means that about 1.5 million people will remain homeless after the destruction of their homes, in severe cold weather and harsh living conditions devoid of the basic necessities of life such as water, food, and electricity.”
