Amid anticipation of Yemeni operations, the evacuation of a Greek ship targeted in the Red Sea
On Monday, Greece completed the process of withdrawing one of its ships that was targeted by Yemeni forces in the Red Sea.
This comes amid anticipation of the new Yemeni operations coming into effect.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Suez Canal announced the completion of the towing operation of the ship “SOUNION,” which was targeted by the Yemeni forces in August of last year.
The head of the Authority, Osama Rabie, reported that 4 trailers participated in the operation, confirming that the ship is heading towards the Greek coasts.
Although the ship was previously targeted due to its attempts to break the Yemeni blockade on navigation to the Zionist ports on the Red and Mediterranean Seas, the timing of its towing reveals the extent of concerns about the developments of the next stage, especially with the approach of the end of the Yemeni deadline for the occupation and its allies to lift the siege and allow aid to enter Gaza or face the consequences.
Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi threatened in his speech last weekend to resume the operations supporting Gaza, which had continued for more than a year and stopped with the start of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which included lifting the siege.
It is expected that the Yemeni operations will be resumed within a few days in light of the Israeli escalation in Gaza.
