America reveals efforts to establish a defense plan against the Houthis

On Wednesday, the US revealed moves to establish a new defense plan in the region, coinciding with Yemen’s decision to ban Israeli navigation coming into effect, amid fears of an escalation of operations.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The US Central Command reported that its commander, Michael Kurilla, carried out a new tour in the region, which included the Israeli occupation, Jordan, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, in addition to the chief of staff of the pro-coalition factions in Yemen. According to the US statement, Kurilla met with the chiefs of staff and military officials in those countries.

The discussions, according to the US leadership, focused on regional developments and joint defense cooperation.

The US deploys defense systems in those countries, except for Yemen.

Although Kurilla had previously visited those countries during the recent months of the Al-Aqsa Flood, especially as the scope of the confrontations expanded to fronts such as Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq, the timing of the latest tour indicates that it is part of US attempts to protect the Israeli occupation, especially as it came with Yemen’s announcement of the resumption of operations in support of Gaza after the expiration of the deadline that began last Friday.

The moves reflect American fears that the Yemeni operations against the Israeli occupation will take a serious turn in light of the potential return of the war on Gaza.

It is worth noting that the aforementioned countries formed a primary defensive barrier against the occupation during the recent confrontations, with their attempts to repel attacks coming from Yemen and Iraq.
