Following a naval clash… The first statement by U.S. forces on Yemeni operations
The US Central Command issued a new statement on Tuesday regarding the Yemeni maritime operations, coinciding with reports of new clashes.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The U.S. statement attempted to showcase the scale of the Yemeni operations launched in 2023 and their consequences.
The statement also confirmed that U.S. forces have been subjected to several attacks, claiming that the attacks caused inflation in the global economy by forcing ships to take longer routes.
The statement considered the recent U.S. State Department’s designation of what it described as “the Houthis” as a terrorist organization as a confirmation of America’s commitment to eliminating their capabilities to protect what it described as U.S. interests.
The statement came a day after reports of new clashes.
Navigation sources had previously reported explosions in the Red Sea, followed by U.S. airstrikes on Hudaydah, on Yemen’s western coast.
The U.S. statement attempted to provide international cover for a potential escalation, as well as to justify the resumption of aggression and promote it as the implementation of what the statement described as the recent designation decision.
The statement indicates that a new phase of confrontation has just begun, with America positioning itself as a barrier to defend the occupation, instead of putting pressure on it to end the suffering of millions in Gaza, which Yemen demands the ongoing siege on them to be lifted.
