Israeli attacks are repeated in the West Bank

A young Palestinian man was killed on Friday by Israeli occupation forces in the northern occupied West Bank. Meanwhile, settlers stormed an area north of Jericho and carried out land-leveling operations to celebrate Purim. Four Palestinians were also killed by shelling southeast of Gaza City.

Earlier, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported in a statement that its crews in Nablus “treated a young man who was critically injured by live bullets to the head in the town of Salem. He was transferred to the hospital.”

Eyewitnesses reported that “Israeli forces stormed the town of Salem and took up positions on the main street, firing live ammunition, sound bombs, and tear gas, which led to violent clashes with Palestinian youths.” Sources also reported to Al Jazeera that Israeli forces stormed the village amid clashes between the two sides.

In Salfit, in the northern West Bank, other groups carried out land-leveling operations on dozens of dunams of land in the Wadi al-Matwi area west of the city, uprooting dozens of ancient olive trees.  In Tulkarm, in the north, Palestinian sources reported that occupation forces arrested three young men from the al-Tawil family after raiding their home in the Qaqun neighborhood of the city’s refugee camp.
The majority of attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus in the northern West Bank, with 300 attacks; Hebron (south) with 267 attacks; and Ramallah (central) with 263 attacks.
