“Doctors Without Borders”: The situation in Gaza is catastrophic
Dr. Muhammad Wadi, the Deputy Medical Coordinator of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) in the northern Gaza Strip, stated that the health conditions in the Strip are catastrophic amidst the ongoing war, the closure of crossings, and the disruption of medical supplies.
Gaza – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Wadi said that the repeated targeting of hospitals, the latest of which was the Al-Muamadani Hospital, has caused a major paralysis in medical services and threatens the lives of thousands of wounded and sick.
He confirmed that his organization continues its humanitarian work despite the risks by providing multiple services to treat the wounded, calling on the international community to take urgent action to stop the war and open the crossings to save what remains of the health system in the Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that the organization lost 16 employees during the war and that forces had targeted the organization’s headquarters, leading to the destruction and burning of some of its centers and vehicles.
