Foreign websites reveal the UAE’s deployment of Israeli radars off the coast of Yemen

Foreign media outlets specializing in military affairs revealed on Wednesday that the UAE has deployed an advanced Israeli radar system in the Puntland region of Somalia to monitor the coast of Yemen.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Both the Middle East Monitor and the Bulgarian Military websites published separate reports in a comprehensive study about the UAE’s installation of an advanced Israeli radar system to support Israeli military operations against Yemen.

The intelligence information based on open sources, aerial imagery, and testimonies of activists in Puntland indicates that the advanced radar was made by ELTA, a subsidiary of the Israeli Aerospace Industries, and was installed near Bosaso Airport, adjacent to the Emirati-run Bosaso Air Base, overlooking the coasts of Yemen on the other side.

The reports explain that “the radar, integrated into Israel’s Iron Dome system, is capable of detecting missiles, drones, and artillery threats.” Sources indicate that the UAE is using the system to monitor the launch of Yemeni ballistic missiles and drones towards Israeli targets and navigation routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The deployment of the Israeli radar system in Puntland, a semi-autonomous region of Somalia, coincides with the escalation of the military offensive launched by the US and Israel against the Sana’a “Al-Houthis” forces to stop their support operations for Gaza in the Red Sea.
