Arab analysts and activists interacted with the announcement by the Yemeni forces, on Tuesday evening, about the downing of an American MQ-9 type drone and the implementation of two military operations that targeted the American aircraft carriers “Truman” and “Vinson” and their accompanying naval vessels in the Red and Arabian Seas.

Bloggers praised the development of the military capabilities of the Yemeni armed forces in confronting the most armed and sophisticated American killing machine, describing the drone flights as “suicidal” missions.

The military expert, Brigadier General Omar Ma’ariboni, said that “the MQ-9 drone constitutes a real mainstay for the Americans… When you deprive your enemy of instant reconnaissance, you fail him and frustrate him in the aggression.”

He added, “The number that the targeting and downing operations of this drone have reached is a large and honorable number for the Yemeni armed forces, specifically the air defense units, and it indicates the ability of the Yemeni leadership to control despite the American naval potential in the air and at sea.”

The Yemeni journalist Radwan Al-Omari wrote in a post on the (X) platform that “in order to achieve any victory, the American sends his “MQ-9″ drone on a suicidal mission to monitor, collect information, and carry out assassinations, as it is considered the best tool to achieve these tasks, and if he had something better, he would not have insisted on sending them on suicidal missions.”

Earlier, the spokesman for the Yemeni forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, explained that the American plane was downed when it was carrying out hostile missions in the airspace of the coasts of the Hajjah governorate, noting that it was downed using a locally made surface-to-air missile.
