Gaza government: 65 percent of the victims of the Israeli genocide are children, women and the elderly

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip said on Saturday that 65 percent of the victims of the Israeli genocide against Palestinians are children, women, and the elderly.
The office explained in a statement that “the occupation army continues to commit the crime of genocide in a systematic and deliberate manner by directly and intentionally targeting defenseless civilians, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the four Geneva Conventions.”

It pointed out that “documentation from governmental and non-governmental institutions and international organizations, in addition to Israeli testimonies, proves that the occupation deliberately kills civilians without reason, and does not differentiate between children, women, the elderly, doctors, journalists, or paramedics.”

The office stated that “65 percent of the victims of the genocide are children, women, and the elderly.”
It noted that “the occupation has committed the crime of murder against more than 18,000 children and more than 12,400 women.”

More seriously, the statement revealed that the Israeli occupation army “completely wiped out more than 2,180 Palestinian families, in addition to the extermination of more than 5,070 other families, leaving only a single person alive.”
It also indicated that the occupation army killed more than 1,400 doctors and health workers, causing the collapse of the health system.

It also killed more than 113 civil defense personnel while performing their humanitarian duty, and 212 journalists during repeated attempts to silence the voice of truth.

The statement noted the martyrdom of more than 750 members of teams securing and distributing humanitarian aid, more than 13,000 students, 800 teachers and educational employees, more than 150 scientists, university professors, and researchers, in addition to thousands of workers in civil and vital sectors.
