“We visited them regularly”… The Red Cross condemns the American crime against a detention center in Sa’ada.

The International Committee of the Red Cross condemned the deadly American attack that targeted a detention center in Sa’ada Governorate, northern Yemen, resulting in a large number of casualties, mostly African migrants.

Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The head of the organization’s mission in Yemen, Christine Cipolla, stated that the attack “showed that civilians in Yemen are increasingly at risk of losing their lives,” considering the direct targeting of detainees as “unreasonable.”

The organization confirmed that its delegates had been regularly visiting the African detainees in the center over the past years as part of their efforts to monitor detention conditions and ensure humane treatment for them.

This attack comes in the context of the escalating risks to civilians in Yemen due to the American aggression, which is carrying out its airstrikes on various Yemeni governorates, against the backdrop of the Yemeni forces’ support for the Gaza Strip.
