UN: There is no life in Gaza and the situation is horrific and unforgivable

Louise Waterridge, a spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said that people in Gaza are trapped, without supplies, and are being starved and bombed daily.
Watteridge was speaking via video link from Amman, Jordan, to a UN agencies’ press conference in Geneva on Tuesday.
Standing in an aid warehouse there, Waterridge said, “There is enough food here for 200,000 people for a whole month. There is enough medicine to run our nine health centers and 38 medical points, providing care for about 1.6 million people. There are hygiene kits, blankets for 200,000 families, and education supplies for 375,000 children—all of it just here.”
She described the situation as “horrific and unforgivable,” adding that the supplies could have arrived in Gaza this afternoon, as it is only a three-hour drive from the Strip.
She noted that UNRWA’s warehouses in Gaza are empty, adding, “It’s been 11 weeks of blockade. At this point, all we’re sending is an attempt to repair the damage that’s already been done. For many, it’s too late.”
