Gaza Media Office: The occupation uses starvation as an internationally prohibited tool of war

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip stated that the systematic starvation policy implemented by the occupation against the population of the Strip has resulted in the deaths of 326 people over the course of 80 days of the complete blockade, including 58 due to malnutrition and 242 due to food and medicine shortages. Follow-ups – Yemeni News:

The office said on Tuesday that among the martyrs were also 26 kidney patients who died due to the lack of proper care. More than 300 miscarriages were also recorded among pregnant women due to a lack of essential nutrients for the continuation of pregnancy.

It confirmed that the occupation has continued since March 2, 2025, to prevent the entry of any truckload of humanitarian aid or fuel into the Strip, at a time when the urgent humanitarian need is estimated at approximately 44,000 trucks to meet the minimum basic needs.

It stated that the Gaza Strip requires the entry of 500 aid trucks and 50 fuel trucks daily to secure the minimum vital and medical needs.

The office warned that “this heinous crime committed by the occupation against innocent civilians falls within the category of genocide and constitutes the use of starvation as an internationally prohibited tool of war.”
