Israeli aid centers have become traps for killing civilians

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation is using the new mechanism it has established for distributing aid in the besieged Palestinian enclave as a “trap for mass killing in the Strip and a tool for the forced displacement of Gaza’s residents.”

This comes after the Zionist occupation committed a massacre on Sunday, when it opened fire on thousands of civilians waiting in the designated aid distribution area, “Al-Alam area,” in Rafah Governorate, at dawn today, leaving more than 200 dead and wounded. In press statements on Sunday, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Munir al-Barsh, expressed his condemnation of the international silence regarding the massacres being committed against the starving residents of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Barash pointed out that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are facing dire conditions, amid a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies. He noted that the occupation continues to prevent approximately 3,000 trucks carrying medical supplies from the Egyptian city of Arish from crossing into the Gaza Strip.

He warned of the occupation’s deliberate attempts to spread infectious diseases and epidemics by continuing to prevent the flow of medicines and vaccines, pointing to the spread of numerous vector-borne diseases, acute bloody diarrhea, and meningitis, in addition to depriving the population of water security, especially since 90% of the population suffers from water insecurity.
