The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that 600,000 children in the Gaza Strip are currently living amidst the rubble without access to education. The agency called on the United Nations to allow the agency to expand education for Gaza’s children, who have been out of school for two consecutive years. In a related context, Adnan Abu Hasna, spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said that the Gaza Strip is experiencing a complete collapse at all levels of life due to the ongoing Israeli aggression. He explained that approximately 95% of the population suffers from varying degrees of malnutrition, including more than 70,000 children who have reached Stage 5, the highest level of malnutrition in the world. The UNRWA spokesperson emphasized that what is happening in Gaza has gone beyond the description of a catastrophe, with the deterioration of the health immunity of the Strip’s population and the physical inability to resist even the simplest diseases. He added that “Gaza is no longer a livable environment.”
