First comment by Ansar Allah leader on events in the South: Riyadh seeks to control and dismantle Yemen under American supervision

In his first comment on recent developments in the southern provinces of Yemen, the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, stated that Saudi Arabia is seeking complete control over Yemen’s decision-making and wealth within a framework of a plan under American and British supervision.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Al-Houthi explained in a speech today that “foreign ambitions are primarily focused on Yemen’s strategic geographic location overlooking the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait and the Arabian Sea, in addition to the enormous oil wealth in the provinces of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahrah,” confirming that this wealth is “coveted by the Americans, Israelis, British, and Saudis.”

He warned that after tightening their control, the enemies aim to “weaken the country and dismantle it, leaving it fragmented and conflicted,” and then “employ local tools in regional or international conflicts and score-settling.”

Regarding the direct Saudi role in southern Yemen, the Ansar Allah leader said, “The Saudi side is not concerned with Yemen’s unity or its separation,” clarifying that Riyadh’s focus is on “imposing occupation and controlling the Yemeni people.”

He added that what happened in the provinces of Al-Mahrah and Hadhramaut “exposes a struggle for influence,” as Saudi Arabia considers them a “red line” to ensure they remain under its exclusive trusteeship.

Al-Houthi mocked the local forces cooperating with Riyadh, saying, “The role of those tools resembles a radio whose volume the Saudi controls, raising or lowering it,” confirming that “the wording of their decisions and positions comes out with complete Saudi production and American supervision.”

He explained that Saudi Arabia employs “all political and religious titles,” from “takfiri religious titles” to “purely secular titles,” to recruit fighting formations under its banner, serving a single goal: “control and seizure.”

Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi emphasized that “the Saudi role is not an act of charity,” but rather a “role drawn within the framework of subservience to American, British, and Israeli interests,” aiming to “control Yemeni political decision-making and exploit the enormous, untapped wealth in the eastern provinces and elsewhere.”

He affirmed “the right of the Yemeni people to be a free, independent people, not enslaved to the Saudi regime,” which he described as being “itself enslaved to the Americans, the Zionists, and the Jewish lobby,” pointing out that targeting Yemen is also linked to its steadfast position in “supporting the Palestinian people and regarding what is happening in Gaza.”
