The UAE reports Saudi “courtship” as Riyadh strikes Yemen off the negotiations file

On Saturday, the UAE confirmed new correspondence with Saudi Arabia. This comes in the wake of British leaks.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The advisor to the UAE president, Abdulkhaleq Abdulla, stated that Saudi Arabia had sent a message of “courting” to the UAE.

Abdulla’s tweet came on the eve of a British revelation detailing correspondence between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and UAE Intelligence Chief Tahnoun bin Zayed.

The British website “Middle East Eye” quoted sources as saying that bin Salman’s message to Tahnoun included a complaint about Saudi Arabia’s fatigue from the continuation of the war in Sudan and his demand to stop Emirati support for the Rapid Support Forces, considering that the continuation of the war now poses a threat to Saudi national security.

The message was devoid of any reference to Yemen, even though it is currently considered one of the most important fronts of the raging Emirati-Saudi conflict.

These moves come days after a shuttle tour by the leader of global Zionism and Congressman Lindsey Graham, which included Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, where he met with Mohammed bin Zayed and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Following his meetings, Graham displayed contradictions, manifested in attacking Saudi Arabia from the UAE and praising it and bin Salman from Riyadh.

It is unclear whether the leaking of correspondence between bin Salman and Tahnoun was an indication of a refusal to deal with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed or if it falls within Saudi efforts to exacerbate the situation in the UAE’s authority in light of Tahnoun’s dismissal from the presidency of the Abu Dhabi Investment Fund amid reports of a crisis within the UAE’s ruling family.
