Iran announces opening of Hormuz and reveals an American obstacle for ships
Iran confirmed on Sunday the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with American “CBS News” that the strait was not closed, attributing the reason for ships not passing to the security situation resulting from the American aggression.
Araghchi’s statements came as Trump tries to pass the ball regarding the strait to the major powers amidst a global oil crisis. Iran has announced more than once that the strait is open to international navigation, considering its measures in the strait aim to prevent the passage of oil and cargo ships belonging to its enemies and their allies.
The strait is currently witnessing a complete halt as battles rage with nearby American battleships. Iran conditions ending the measures in the strait on stopping the Israeli-American war on it.
The strait is considered one of the important passages, as nearly a third of fuel ships and hundreds of global cargo ships pass through it.
