Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
A senior Iranian military official stated to Tasnim News Agency: “The American threats to target vital facilities inside Iran, including power stations, reflect a state of despair and helplessness more than being an expression of strength or control over the course of events.”
The source affirmed that Iran has prepared qualitative responses in the event of any escalation, confirming that what he described as American “madness” will be met with measures that will make exiting the confrontation extremely difficult.
He noted that the list of potential targets may include strategic oil facilities such as Aramco, Yanbu, and the Fujairah pipeline in the event of any American attack.
He said, “Iran will not hesitate to impose a heavy cost on the US and its allies if any assault is carried out,” warning that escalation could lead to global economic repercussions.
He indicated that betting on opening the straits and lowering oil prices through threats will not succeed but may instead lead to a sharp rise in prices, predicting that the price of a barrel of oil could reach $200 within days if confrontation erupts.
