In a brief press statement, the Ministry said, “Laboratory results conducted by the Central Laboratory of the Ministry of Health confirmed a new case of COVID-19 among those quarantined in the Gaza Strip.”

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip had previously stated that it is facing a severe crisis due to dwindling supplies of medicines, medical equipment, personal protective equipment, laboratory tests, and ventilators, making its response to the coronavirus outbreak even more critical.
