Targeting of Saudi-Loyal Forces in Hadhramaut

Media sources reported on Tuesday that the so-called “Emergency” forces, backed by Saudi Arabia, were targeted with an explosive device in Hadhramaut governorate, eastern Yemen, resulting in the injury of five soldiers.

The sources said that an explosive device exploded this morning in a military vehicle belonging to the Emergency Forces in the Al-Abr area of Hadramawt, leading to the injury of five soldiers of the force.

The sources did not indicate the identity of the party behind the targeting, and no clarification was issued by the concerned authorities.

It is noteworthy that the targeting comes amid a series of similar operations that the Emergency Forces have been subjected to in recent weeks and months, using explosive devices in areas of Hadhramaut and Marib.

Questions are being raised about the parties behind the targeting of the Emergency Forces, amid circulating accusations of internal liquidations targeting elements of these forces. Some attribute the responsibility for orchestrating these incidents, which coincide with escalating security and military tensions in those areas, to factions linked to the UAE.
