Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Government media outlets in Aden reported that directives from the Presidential Council decided to raise the readiness of government hospitals to receive emergencies in conjunction with the deployment of warships at the coasts of the city located on the Gulf of Aden and close to the lines of clashes currently in Al-Mandeb.
These movements come following an emergency meeting held by Acting US Ambassador Neil Hop and the commander of the Saudi-loyal naval faction, Khaled Al-Qamli, after the latter was summoned to the capital, Riyadh.
It also coincides with the revelation by journalists and elites counted upon by the coalition in southern Yemen of real fears of the possibility of the city falling, with their talk about the beginning of those they described as “Houthis” launching operations via the sea.
The current apprehensions of the coalition government in Aden are a natural reflection of the situation on the ground, where the confrontations are raging on the coast of Lahj Governorate adjacent to Aden and located at its most important security points.
In this context, media and tribal sources affirmed the achievement by the Yemeni forces of further advance in Al-Mudaribah and Ras Al-Arah District linking Aden and Bab Al-Mandeb, expecting the completion of control over the coastal line that includes the most important maritime tongue at the confluence of the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea during the coming days.
