Gaza Health: 39 martyrs and 849 injured among those awaiting aid in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday that 39 Palestinians were killed and 849 others injured while waiting for aid. They were transferred to hospitals in the Strip over the past 24 hours, amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip.

Earlier, the Ministry stated in its statement that the total death toll from the aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, had risen to 60,430, most of them children and women. The number of injured reached 148,722, with an unknown number of victims still trapped under the rubble, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them due to the ongoing bombardment and dangerous conditions on the ground.

The Ministry indicated that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 98 martyrs (including 15 bodies recovered from under the rubble) in the past hours, in addition to 1,079 wounded. This is a dangerous escalation following the occupation’s violation of the ceasefire agreement on March 18, which has since resulted in 9,246 martyrs and 36,681 wounded.
