Yemen’s nightmare haunts America again
Yemen returned to the forefront of the scene in the US on Tuesday, coinciding with the anticipation of the new phase of operations supporting Gaza coming into effect.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The US Department of Defense “Pentagon” rushed to deny any connection to the recent Israeli attack on the capital, Sana’a.
The website “Monitor” reported officials stating that U.S. battleships assisted in intercepting missiles but did not provide any logistical or military support for the bombing of the capital.
American officials did not hide their concerns that the recent aggression against Yemen could lead to a strong return to operations against American battleships.
The American interest in the implications of the recent Israeli aggression extended beyond the ceasefire agreement between Sana’a and Washington, announced by President Trump months ago, and included talking about the extent of American material losses in the confrontations.
In this context, U.S. news agency Bloomberg revealed documents confirming the American defense’s decision to spend about $3.5 billion to renew its stockpile, indicating the extent of the losses America has incurred, despite having only engaged in limited confrontations with Yemen.
