Several international and humanitarian organizations called on Saturday for urgent international action to halt the spiral of famine in the Gaza Strip. They also called on Israel to stop denying the catastrophic situation it has caused. The World Health Organization thanked the United Arab Emirates for its support for evacuating critical medical cases, amid calls to hold Israel accountable. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation held Israel fully responsible for this crime and its repercussions.
The Israeli occupation army is still escalating its operations, ignoring the demands to stop starvation. The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced the death of 8 people as a result of malnutrition, including two children, within 24 hours of the official declaration of famine, bringing the total number of famine and malnutrition victims to 281, including 114 children. The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philip Lazarini, said it was time for the Israeli government to stop denying the famine it had caused in Gaza.
