Euro-Mediterranean Observatory: The Israeli enemy continues using massive, booby-trapped vehicles in Gaza in an unprecedented manner
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory documented the Israeli army detonating an average of 17 booby-trapped vehicles daily in residential neighborhoods in Gaza City, with each explosion producing an effect equivalent to a 3.7-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale.
Gaza – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Observatory confirmed that in the past week alone, approximately 120 booby-trapped vehicles loaded with about 840 tons of (TNT) explosives were detonated in the midst of residential areas.
It explained that detonating a single booby-trapped vehicle loaded with 6-7 tons of explosives releases an amount of energy equivalent to a natural 3.7-magnitude earthquake, causing violent concussion felt by residents several kilometers away and lasting for seconds, similar to natural earthquakes.
The Observatory emphasized that the use of booby-trapped vehicles on this scale and level to destroy entire residential neighborhoods constitutes an unprecedented crime in human history, warning that the catastrophic impact of this practice is not limited to physical destruction only but is also being used as a tool for psychological intimidation of civilians to forcibly displace them from their areas of residence.
The Observatory pointed out that the inaction of the international community and the complicity of some of its members have enabled the occupation army to proceed with the crime of destroying Gaza City in this overt and large-scale manner.
