Nineteen Palestinians, the majority of them women and children, were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential area belonging to the Dughmush family in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. This brings the death toll from enemy fire within 24 hours to 107.
Mahmoud Basal, a Civil Defense spokesman in the Gaza Strip, said that among the dead were four children and five women, as a result of the bombing that targeted the Dughmush family.
Basal explained that rescue crews are still searching for missing persons under the rubble, noting that the nature of the destruction is hindering the teams’ access to the targeted site.
Palestinian sources reported that Dr. Ashraf Muhammad Abu Mohsen, his wife, and his children were killed in the Israeli massacre when their home in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, was bombed this evening.
Later, Israeli warplanes launched a new airstrike targeting the same residential area belonging to the Dughmush family in the same neighborhood.
