Israeli hint at American approval for the Gulf of Aden attack
The Israeli occupation hinted, on Sunday, at having received an American green light for escalation with Iran. This comes in the wake of an attack on an oil tanker, which America claims is linked to Iran, in the Gulf of Aden.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The head of the Israeli government, Benjamin Netanyahu, said in a press remark that he discussed developments related to Iran with US President Donald Trump and that the two sides agreed to implement any measures if necessary.
He added that the confrontation with Iran is not over.
Although the communication took place last Thursday, Netanyahu’s recollection of its details following the Gulf of Aden attack indicates that they were behind the attack.
An oil tanker flying the Cameroonian flag and owned by India had been subjected to a surprise attack earlier on Saturday, 60 miles off the coast of southern Yemen.
The Yemeni Ministry of Defense denied being behind the operation, while American and Israeli media outlets were quick to promote claims that the ship was carrying a shipment of liquefied gas from the Iranian port of Asaluyeh to Ras Issa in Al Hudaydah, hinting at American-Israeli involvement in the operation.
The new operation brings to mind a long track of “ship war” that erupted prior to the recent confrontations with Iran and affected dozens of Iranian and Israeli ships.
