Israeli “official” admission of “complete failure” to break the Yemeni naval blockade
The Hebrew newspaper Maariv, in a recent report, revealed the extent of the paralysis that has afflicted navigation in the Israeli enemy entity as a result of the naval blockade imposed by the Sana’a forces on the Red Sea in solidarity with besieged Gaza, which has been subjected to continuous aggression since October 2023.
Naval Blockade – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The newspaper explained that the port of Eilat is experiencing one of its worst crises since its establishment, after the economic crisis it suffered from turned into what it described as a “symbol of national failure” following the near-total closure imposed by Yemeni operations and the refusal of ships to pass through the Red Sea for fear of being targeted.
During a session in the Knesset Finance Committee to discuss ways to save the port, the deliberations turned—according to the newspaper—into what resembled an admission of defeat session, where members from both Likud and the opposition acknowledged that the enemy entity no longer has a practical plan to restart the port and that commercial ships will not return to Eilat in the foreseeable future.
The newspaper points out that the concerned ministries are passing the responsibility for the continuation of the crisis; the Ministry of Economy accuses the Ministry of Transport of negligence, and the latter blames the Ministry of Finance, while the port faces actual bankruptcy after its bank accounts were frozen and the flow of goods completely stopped.
Maariv viewed what is happening in Eilat as a direct reflection of the chaos and division within the institutions of the enemy entity, which has long boasted of discipline and precision, considering that this administrative and economic collapse is a direct result of the qualitative strikes delivered by the Sana’a forces, which, with their local capabilities, managed to bring about a strategic shift in the balance of deterrence, turning the Red Sea into an open confrontation arena inflicting escalating losses on the enemy.
In the context of the same session, the newspaper quoted Knesset Member “Oded Forer” as saying that “the southern gate of the country has been closed for two years,” wondering how this situation continues while ships keep entering the nearby Jordanian port of Aqaba. This was considered an official admission of the enemy entity’s inability to break the blockade imposed by Sana’a within the framework of its continuous support for the Palestinian resistance and Gaza.
