French website: Sana’a is stronger, and its adversaries are in clear fragility
The French website “Intelligence Online” revealed that what is known as “tunnel warfare” has become an increasing feature of the ongoing war in Yemen, at a time when the forces affiliated with the Aden government are facing disintegration, acute weakness, and failure in confronting the escalating influence of the Sana’a forces.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The report indicated that what it called the army loyal to the Aden government is in a more fragile position than ever, with declining Saudi support and worsening divisions among the loyalist factions, which has given the Sana’a forces an opportunity to enhance their field positions and expand what it called the site of the “underground combat network.”
The website added that the strategic vacuum resulting from the diminished role of the Saudi coalition and internal divisions has been exploited by the “Houthis” to develop complex military infrastructure, including tunnels and hidden supply lines, granting them greater ability to launch surprise attacks and maneuver away from aerial surveillance and reconnaissance.
The report pointed out that this shift in combat methods has made the confrontation with Sana’a more complex for the forces loyal to Aden, as the group manages battles on unconventional levels, reflecting clear tactical superiority and the increasing decline of the opposing front.
The website concluded by affirming that this field reality reinforces the military and political stalemate in Yemen and gives Sana’a a stronger position in any potential negotiations about the country’s future.
