Israel expands the yellow line within a neighborhood of Gaza City

The Gaza Municipality spokesperson announced that the Israeli occupation continues to move the “yellow line” and expand the areas it occupies.
Recent satellite images revealed that Israel moved the concrete blocks marking the “yellow line” eastward into the historic Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City and demolished dozens of buildings, a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Satellite images taken on December 2 and 13, 2025, showed the concrete blocks intended to demarcate the “yellow line” being moved approximately 200 meters into Hamas-controlled territory. This was followed by the demolition of at least 40 buildings, leaving the neighborhood largely deserted.
In other areas of Gaza, Israel moved the blocks tens or hundreds of meters further into Palestinian territory and constructed at least six new military fortifications.
The Tuffah neighborhood, where thousands of Palestinians sought refuge after the October 2025 ceasefire, has become a scorched wasteland, littered with rubble, with historic infrastructure destroyed.
Reports indicate repeated Israeli gunfire in areas surrounding the border, along with accusations of attempted crossings, despite the agreement stipulating an Israeli withdrawal to the original line, according to the Palestinian news agency Ma’an.
This comes amid a ceasefire plan being pushed by US President Donald Trump, but images show unilateral Israeli expansion that is altering the reality on the ground.
