Al-Mashat: We presented several initiatives to spare Taiz from fighting, but the coalition rejected them.
Mehdi Al-Mashat, the head of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, presented an initiative to end all military fronts from all parties in the province of Taiz, where Sana’a forces hold control over nearly 70% of its area.
Taiz / Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
During an extensive meeting in the province, Al-Mashat affirmed that the Taiz initiative “includes a joint administration to spare the province any conflict,” noting that the decision of the Saudi-Emirati coalition factions “is not in their hands, and therefore they will not respond to this initiative with a decision from the countries employing them.”
Al-Mashat continued, “We have tried by all available means to spare Taiz from fighting and have presented multiple initiatives, but the aggression coalition rejected them.” He pointed out that the factions loyal to the coalition continue to “exploit everything related to the province of Taiz, including the humanitarian situation, which they have made tragic.”
Regarding the aggression of the Israeli occupation entity on the Gaza Strip, the President of the Political Council stated that “the US must realize that the solution does not lie in trying to restore morale to the Israeli enemy entity and supporting it militarily, as it is transient.”
