Anticipating special operations in the Red Sea

The decision by Yemen to send special units to Hudaydah, on the western coast of the Red Sea, on Sunday sparked widespread reactions on social media. How did activists comment on this step?

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Yemeni armed forces previously carried out a march for their special units from the capital, Sana’a, to the coast of the city of Hudaydah, the most important city in the Red Sea.

The military march involved units from the special forces, which are considered the elite of the Yemeni army and possess combat capabilities that enable them to carry out operations under any circumstances.

Although the Yemeni forces have conducted several military marches to Hudaydah in the past, this time the step comes at a time when the confrontations with American and British battleships in the Red Sea are escalating. It comes just two days after a speech by the leader of Ansar Allah, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, in which he vowed to expand operations in the Red Sea, both in quantity and quality.

This step has elicited various reactions among users of social media platforms. The majority views it as the deployment of special units in Hudaydah as part of preparations to carry out special operations against American and British battleships and ships, while others see it as a way to thwart any attempt at American ground escalation.

Regardless of the objective behind showcasing the special forces in Hudaydah, according to observers, the message remains clear to America and Britain that the Yemeni army is ready for any scenario and has several cards to play in the ongoing battle that has been ongoing for months.
