American-British horror at the new weapons of the Houthis in the Red Sea

Britain and the US, allies in the war on Yemen, expressed their horror on Thursday at the escalating Yemeni operations in the Red Sea. This comes in conjunction with a new turn in the conduct of ongoing operations since last November.

The British Foreign Secretary stated that he felt alarmed for the first time at the magnitude of the Yemeni attack on the American ship “True Confidence.”

CNN reported American officials expressing concern about the type of weapons, confirming their lack of knowledge regarding the weapons possessed by the “Houthis,” as they described them.

They also expressed surprise at the Yemeni steps in the conduct of the attacks.

These statements come one day after the targeting of an American ship, causing significant damage to it.

This is the second ship to be targeted with such force within a week, indicating a new phase in the confrontations in the Red and Arabian Seas and the Gulf of Aden, the indicators of which are the sinking of ships.
