The Presidency of the House of Representatives calls on the international community to reject the use of the veto
The Presidency of the House of Representatives in Sana’a called on the international community on Monday to reject the use of the veto power. It stated that the United States uses the Security Council as a shield, considering it a “blatant assault on the United Nations and a distortion of the path of realizing rights, depriving the Palestinian people of their right to self-determination.”
Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Presidency condemned the continued American Western support for the occupation entity and the justification of the occupation of Palestinian territories, encouraging the continuation of the worst violations and crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people.
It called on the international community to reject the repeated use of the veto power, the latest objection being to a draft resolution presented by Algeria to accept Palestine as a member of the United Nations General Assembly. It demanded “urgent action to save the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip and to hold the leaders of the criminal Zionist entity accountable in international courts.”
In the same context, the Presidency of the House of Representatives ridiculed the American allegations that Yemeni operations in the Red Sea hinder the arrival of food and medicine to the Palestinian people, stating that these ships provide the “Zionist entity with the most prohibited internationally banned weapons to carry out daily killings and crimes against the Palestinian people.”
