Sana’a forces officially adopt the shooting down of the MQ-9 drone
Today, a spokesman for the Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that their air force successfully downed a new American MQ-9 drone in the airspace of Marib province.
Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Brigadier General Saree stated in a statement that the drone was targeted with a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile, noting that the footage will be broadcast later.
He mentioned that “this is the fourth drone being downed during the “Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad” battle in support of Gaza,” which is the pride of American fighter reconnaissance aircraft, with a value of around 32 million dollars.
The spokesman for the Sana’a forces affirmed their “full readiness on all levels, land, sea, and air, and that all enemy attempts will fail, and the armed forces will be on the lookout for them, by the permission of Allah.”
Sana’a’s air defenses have witnessed rapid development since the beginning of the war on Yemen in 2015 until today. These defenses have previously shot down several aircraft of different models, coinciding with the announcement that Sana’a possessed domestically manufactured defense technologies.
