The second ship hit in the Gulf of Aden

Britain confirmed on Thursday the hitting of a new ship off the coast of Yemen.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Ambrey, the British maritime security company, reported in a statement that they received a distress call from the crew of a commercial ship that was targeted in the Gulf of Aden.

The company explained that the ship was hit by a naval missile approximately 129 nautical miles from the port of Aden.

The company did not provide any details about the ship or its fate, but the distress call indicates that it suffered significant damage.

This is the second ship to be struck with a major blow within 24 hours. The fate of a previously targeted ship during two attacks in the Red Sea remains unknown after the engine room flooded.

These operations indicate a development in Yemeni attacks against ships that violate the Yemeni blockade in the Mediterranean, with a decision to sink them.

The ban of ships is a step initiated by Sana’a during the Red Sea operations, in which they succeeded in controlling the route of ships through the most important maritime passages in the region.
