Saudi Arabia is under fire from Yemen again

The Yemeni armed forces have once again brought the confrontation with Saudi Arabia to the forefront. This comes as negotiations in Muscat enter their fourth day.

Reactions have been pouring in over the past few hours regarding a tweet the spokesman for the Yemeni forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree.

Brigadier General Saree wrote a cryptic tweet on his official social media page, titled “3 days.”

Although the tweet took on several dimensions in terms of analysis, the most prominent of the reactions were the voices that confirmed that it carried a message to Saudi Arabia. The most prominent of these comments was what was mentioned by the member of the Ansar Allah Political Bureau, Hizam Al-Assad, who implied that “suffering has increased” in reference to Saudi Arabia’s economic escalation against Sana’a through the government loyal to it in Aden.

The comments were not limited to Al-Assad’s statements but also included the reposting of previous statements by Yemeni officials in Sana’a, including Mohammed Al-Houthi, who called on Saudi Arabia to move forward with the agreement and avoid procrastination. Additionally, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, in a previous tweet, emphasized the need to end the suffering of Yemenis from their country’s revenues, referring to the oil wealth being deposited in Saudi banks.

This reinforces the fact that the message was directed at Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the ongoing negotiations taking place in the Sultanate of Oman, which had not made any progress prior to the tweet. Perhaps the new deadline had an impact on the progress revealed in the past few hours.
