12 US battleships mobilized in the Middle East with the obstruction of offer involving a mitigated response and expectations of surpassing traditional attack
The US mobilized most of its battleships to the Middle East on Thursday, coinciding with the anticipation of an unprecedented response against its most prominent allies in the region.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Washington Post quoted officials in the Biden administration as saying that about 12 battleships, including the aircraft carrier “Roosevelt,” are currently on high alert.
The American mobilization followed the failure of a de-escalation offer that included a booby-trapped response.
American media reported that the U.S. Secretary of State conveyed messages through Qatar to both Iran and Lebanon, specifying that the response should be mitigated and not pushed towards expanding the war. Blinken expressed his country’s readiness to halt the ceasefire in Gaza and reach an agreement with Hezbollah on the northern borders.
On the other hand, American media confirmed Iran’s rejection of the American offer to talk about the Iranian Supreme Leader directing a direct response to the Israeli occupation, at a time when Iranian military leaders spoke about studying the appropriate response.
These sources quoted American officials who anticipate that the Iranian response will surpass conventional missile and drone attacks, expecting the response to include targeting occupation embassies abroad.
Those sources predicted that Iran would carry out its response through the Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Syria axes, also expecting the response to occur within 72 hours.
While American leaks remain mere speculations due to the contradictions they carry, they reflect the extent of American panic over the consequences of occupation crimes and its participation in them.
