The number of martyrs of an Israeli shelling targeting a school housing displaced people in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, has risen to six.
The Palestinian Civil Defense confirmed in a statement that “a number of martyrs and injured were recovered from the Safad school after it was bombed by the Israeli occupation,” and the statement indicated that “the school was evacuated from the displaced after the occupation threatened to bomb it again.” The Israeli shelling targeted the “Safad school near the Imam al-Shafi’i mosque, northwest of the Zaytoun neighborhood, and the injured were transferred to the Arab National Hospital in Gaza City.
Over the past month, Israel has targeted several schools housing displaced people, committing “massacres” against civilians, especially women and children.
