New confrontations with US forces on Yemen’s western coast

The Red Sea witnessed new clashes with American forces on Monday, coinciding with the failure of new diplomatic efforts to contain Yemeni operations.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Earlier today, American aircraft launched airstrikes on the city of Hudaydah, with the new strikes focusing on the city of Salif.

These strikes came after reports of new Yemeni operations in the Red Sea.

Navigation sources reported that violent explosions were seen tens of nautical miles from the Yemeni coasts.

It is unclear whether the operations targeted cargo ships or American battleships, but the American airstrikes confirm the relationship of those ships to the US, which claims its raids on Yemen are “defensive.”

These developments follow the leak of a new offer from the Biden administration to Sana’a in exchange for halting Yemeni operations; among the offers are significant economic and political privileges.

The recent operations confirm the failure of the American offer, which was accompanied by pressures hinting to detonate the situation militarily, with the summoning of leaders of Yemeni factions loyal to the coalition to Washington.
