The Zionist enemy continues its tight siege on northern Gaza

For the 16th consecutive day, the Israeli occupation army continues its genocidal operations in the northern Gaza Strip, by shelling and burning entire residential areas in the Jabalia refugee camp and town, the towns of Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun, while preventing the delivery of food, water and medicine to tens of thousands of Palestinians trapped inside these areas.

According to sources, the Israeli army continued over the past night and at dawn on Sunday, to shell the Jabalia camp and town and their surroundings in a violent and intensive manner.

They explained that columns of thick black smoke have been rising from Jabalia camp and its surroundings for many hours as a result of Israeli shelling.

The witnesses indicated that during the night and Sunday morning, the Israeli army also continued to blow up and burn houses west of the Jabalia refugee camp and in various areas in the northern Gaza Strip.

At the same time, the Israeli army is firing at anyone who tries to get out of besieged areas to get food, water or medicine.

Palestinian medical sources also said that there are dozens of wounded under the rubble of houses bombed by Israel in and around Jabalya, and ambulance crews cannot reach them because they are directly targeted by the army.

For his part, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Hossam Abu Safiya, said in a statement that the Israeli army “shelled the hospital and fired violently towards its buildings and targeted water tanks and the electricity network.”

On October 6, the Israeli occupation army announced the start of an invasion in the northern Gaza Strip, under the pretext of “preventing Hamas from regaining its strength in the area,” while Palestinians say that Israel wants to occupy the area and displace its inhabitants.
