A Chinese military expert on Yemeni missiles: Manipulates their trajectory and possesses capabilities to penetrate “Israel’s” defenses
A Chinese military expert spoke about the secret behind the power of the missiles launched by Yemeni forces towards “Israel,” noting that they possess important and effective features, including the quality of fuel and the ability for mobile launches, along with the capability to manipulate their trajectory just before hitting the target.
Translation – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Chinese military expert, “Du Wenlong,” mentioned that “one of these features is using solid fuel instead of liquid fuel, which means the missile doesn’t need refueling or maintenance before launch, allowing it to be prepared and launched to hit the target quickly and at the first opportunity,” according to a Chinese agency.
He also mentioned that among the features of the Yemeni missiles is their supersonic speed, including the “Palestine 2″ missile, which relies on a mobile launch platform mounted on a vehicle that can swiftly transport and reach the missile to the designated launch area, and compared to launch operations in fixed locations, the probability of remaining ready for launch is significantly improved for the Yemeni forces.”
The Chinese military expert pointed out that another feature of the new Yemeni missiles is their ability to manipulate their trajectory in the final part of the missile’s flight path. The four control fins mounted on the missile’s tail can generate significant rotational torque through the movement of these fins, allowing the missile to launch towards the target in an irregular manner, reducing the probability of interception relatively.
“Dou Wenlong” noted that “Israel has multiple levels of air defense and missile defense systems, including the “Iron Dome” system, the “David’s Sling” system, and the ‘Arrow’ system, including the “THAAD” system deployed by the US. However, the possibility of intercepting terminal mobile missiles can’t reach 100%, as this type of missiles possessed by Yemenis have strong penetration capabilities against the multi-layered Israeli defense system,” according to the Chinese agency.
Yemeni forces previously announced through their spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the targeting of deep within the occupation entity in several operations using the supersonic “Palestine 2” missile, with the latest targeting a military base near Tel Aviv.
