UNICEF: Attacks on civilians and humanitarian workers in Gaza Strip must stop

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has issued urgent demands to quickly stop attacks on civilians and humanitarian workers, and the remaining facilities and infrastructure inside the Gaza Strip.

According to the organization’s official website, UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, in a statement, called on the State of Israel to conduct an “immediate investigation” into the circumstances of the attack on an organization employee on Saturday, in the city of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, commenting: The end of last week witnessed a bloody escalation in attacks in the northern Gaza Strip, where it was reported that 50 children in Jabalia were victims of this escalation during the past two days.

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said that all residents of northern Gaza, especially children, are at imminent risk of death due to disease, famine and continuous shelling, commenting: On Saturday, the director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in northern Gaza was injured after a bomb was thrown from an Israeli quad copter at an organization car in the northern Gaza Strip.

For about 30 days, the Israeli army has continued to escalate its military aggression in northern Gaza, specifically in Jabalia and its camp, where it continues to bomb civilians, blow up their homes, and prevent the entry of aid, food, water, medicine and fuel.
