Yemen costs the US dearly to maintain its navy after being depleted by missiles

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The US Navy announced this week that it has upgraded the Freedom-class littoral combat ship USS Indianapolis to launch AGM-114L Longbow Hellfire radar-guided missiles for use in counter-drone systems.

Yemeni military sources confirmed that this decision comes specifically after months of fighting between US forces and Yemen in the waters surrounding Yemen, including the Red Sea, where US warships have been subjected to near-daily attacks, forcing Washington to spend high-cost ammunition and deplete its strategic stockpile.

The Yemeni naval operations had imposed on the US the costs of updating the naval fleet after the emergence of new threats from Yemen that exceeded the US defensive capabilities due to the Yemeni tactics developed by the Yemeni Navy in confronting the aircraft carrier and its striking naval fleet, throughout the months of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.
