Gaza – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Gaza confirmed today, Sunday, that its teams have been working since the first day of the Israeli aggression to survey the field damage to residential units that were completely destroyed or partially damaged to the point of being unfit for habitation, noting that some of its employees were martyred during the fieldwork.

According to the ministry’s estimates, the number of residential units that were completely destroyed or severely damaged may exceed 280,000 units, while the number of cases surveyed so far is about 250,000 units, including 170,000 units that were completely destroyed, and 80,000 units unfit for habitation.

The ministry explained that its teams are still in the field to complete the initial survey, which is expected to be completed within two weeks, after which the detailed inventory will begin in coordination with international parties and institutions working in the field of reconstruction, to include all damaged residential units, including those partially damaged but still fit for habitation.

The ministry also announced that it will launch an electronic link in the coming days that will allow citizens to inquire about the status of their residential units that were completely or partially destroyed and unfit for habitation.
