Sana’a’s military media broadcasts scenes of downing the 15th American drone since the start of supporting Gaza

Sana’a’s military media distributed, on Tuesday evening, scenes of the downing of the American MQ-9 drone, which was recently shot down by the Yemeni defenses in the airspace of Al-Hudaydah Governorate.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The footage showed the moments of tracking the drone during its flight “and the moment of targeting it with an air-to-ground missile, which directly hit it.” This new operation indicates a proof of the diminishing air superiority of the American-Israeli coalition, in parallel with the progress of the Yemeni air defense industries.

This drone, which was shot down by the Sana’a defenses, “is characterized by high technological specifications,” including an advanced radar system, high-precision cameras, and sensors capable of scanning a 360-degree area, while the value of the drone with the control room, missiles, and other devices is $30 million.

The tasks of this drone vary between surveillance, espionage, and striking ground targets, and it is distinguished by its ability to carry laser-guided missiles and bombs, and it has an advanced radar system that transmits data to a number of aircraft or ground sites.

The length of the drone is 11 meters, its wingspan is 20 meters, its flight range is about three thousand kilometers, its maximum altitude is 45,000 feet, its maximum speed is about 240 kilometers, and it has the ability to operate in harsh weather conditions and fly for a long time, up to 40 hours.

Yemeni military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, had announced earlier this evening the downing of a “hostile American drone of the MQ-9 type while it was violating Yemeni airspace and carrying out hostile missions,” explaining that it is “the fifteenth that our air defenses have succeeded in downing during the battle of the promised conquest and the holy jihad in support of our mujahideen brothers in Gaza and Lebanon.”

The Yemeni forces affirmed that they continue to “carry out their defensive tasks to confront any aggression against our country, including monitoring and following up on hostile movements in the Red and Arab Seas, and that they are fully prepared to deal with any developments during the next phase.”
