The French defense documents the ferocity of the battle in the Red Sea

The French Ministry of Defense, on Tuesday, confirmed the ferocity of the confrontation in the Red Sea.

The ministry published on its army’s website a video clip documenting the moments of engagement between one of the French battleships and a Yemeni reconnaissance aircraft.

The clip documents the battleship firing projectiles of various calibers against the aircraft, which was flying near it, including fire from medium-sized weapons.

The images show that the aircraft’s trajectory was not targeting the battleship, but the latter tried to intercept the drone, which was on a reconnaissance mission and not an offensive one, according to the video.

The clip confirms the failure of the French defense to shoot down the drone despite the massive gunfire, as the firing continued for several minutes, even though it was a single drone.

The clips document the size of the Yemeni capabilities and their ferocity in the confrontation, even though the targeted aircraft was not part of an offensive squadron and was not armed.
