American platform: The Houthis create chaos for American aircraft carriers in the Red Sea

The American platform “1945,” which specialized in maritime defense, published an article after the incident of losing an “F-18E Super Hornet” aircraft from the aircraft carrier Truman, indicating that the carrier carried out sharp evasive maneuvers in the Red Sea to avoid Houthi fire.

Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The article pointed out that the “Houthis’” ability to down an aircraft worth $67 million, even indirectly, represents a major operational and propaganda success for them, and that the incident comes in the wake of recent incidents involving the aircraft carrier Truman.

It said that in 2024, an American warship activated the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System to shoot down a Houthi cruise missile, demonstrating the missile’s success in evading the ship’s other defenses.

The article confirmed that the “Houthis” are creating chaos for the US Navy’s aircraft carriers in the Red Sea.

It noted that the recent loss of the Super Hornet is not the first time the USS Truman aircraft carrier has been involved in incidents at sea, as the aircraft carrier has experienced several malfunctions in recent times.

The article pointed out that despite the ongoing campaign of American strikes, the Houthis have withstood the attacks of the US, “Israel,” and the Saudi-led campaign while continuing to strengthen their offensive capabilities.
