The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said today that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza are eating only one meal every two or three days due to Israel’s continued starvation policy in the Strip, which has closed the crossings and prevented the entry of relief aid for more than two months.
The agency stated on its official website that more than 1,000 children in Gaza are suffering from severe malnutrition due to the Israeli starvation policy.
The UN agency confirmed that it will not be part of the Israeli plan to bring aid into Gaza, stressing that the plan does not comply with United Nations standards.
