The echoes of explosions in Gaza reach Jerusalem, and homes in the Negev shake

Israeli media reported that the echoes of explosions in Gaza could be heard tonight in occupied Jerusalem and throughout the Negev region. Palestinian media reported that the Israeli occupation army carried out continuous raids on various areas in Khan Yunis, Deir al-Balah, and the northern Gaza Strip. Several areas were also subjected to heavy shelling, accompanied by house demolitions.

The Hebrew-language Walla news website described the scale of the explosions resulting from the Israeli occupation army’s heavy shelling of sites in the northern Gaza Strip as unusual, noting that the occupation army destroyed a large amount of “infrastructure,” as it put it. The website stated that the echoes of the explosions shaking Gaza could be heard throughout the Negev, and even in Jerusalem and other places in the central region. It noted that the windows of homes in these areas were shaking due to the force of the successive explosions in Gaza.

On Sunday, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli occupation army, Eyal Zamir, ordered the expansion of the military operation in the Gaza Strip to include additional areas in the north and south of the Strip, as part of the ongoing war on the Strip for more than twenty months.
